真夏の大太刀チャレンジ＆お侍さんと写真を撮ろう！

総長176cm、重さ4kg超の大太刀を持ってみませんか？

見事持ち上げることができた方には「達成之証」を授与いたします。

果たして持ち上げることはできるのか…

みなさまの挑戦、お待ちしております！

また、15日は１日限定イベント「お侍さんと写真を撮ろう！」を開催。

普段見ることのない古（いにしえ）の時代の装束をまとったお侍さんと記念写真を撮ることができます。

Can You Lift a Giant Japanese Sword?

Would you like to try lifting an Odachi, a giant Japanese sword measuring 176 cm (69.3 in.) in length and weighing over 4 kg (8.8 lbs.)?

Anyone who successfully lifts it will receive an official Certificate of Achievement to commemorate the challenge.

On August 15, don't miss our one-day-only special event, "Take a Photo with a Samurai!"

You'll have the opportunity to take a commemorative photo with a samurai dressed in authentic historical attire rarely seen today.

ミニ刀剣庵
YouTubeチャンネル【刀剣庵】でご紹介した刀剣を、2日間限定でガラスケースの外に展示します。

※申込不要・博物館入館料のみ

刀宴会
実際に刀を手に取り、鑑定師の解説を聞きながら鑑賞する少人数制の講座です。
午前は初心者向け、午後は中級者・上級者向けの内容となります。
※事前申込制・参加費別途

Touken-an Events: September–December 2026

Two special events related to our YouTube channel, Touken-an, will be held from September through December 2026.

Mini Touken-an
Swords featured on our YouTube channel will be displayed outside the glass cases for two days.
No reservation is required; only the regular museum admission fee applies.

Touenkai – Sword Appreciation Seminar
A small-group seminar where participants can hold and examine authentic Japanese swords while listening to explanations by a sword appraiser.
Advance reservation and an additional participation fee are required.
